Transformational Breath:
the breath of life
Without
breath there is no life. It is as simple as that yet
many of us take how we breathe for granted. Our breath
is the energy of life-it provides all important oxygen
to the body, unites and deepens the mind-body connection
and strengthens our tie to all that lives. If you are
like most people your breathing pattern is not all it
could be. Too many people breathe in shallow and
constricted patterns, cutting off the full benefit of
their breath, never realizing the potential they are
wasting for a more healthful life.
The tradition and knowledge of breath work is found in
all meditative practices, marshal arts and ancient
Eastern philosophies. Today our Western culture is
beginning to understand what Eastern thinking has known
and practiced for centuries-the restorative and life
enhancing power of the breath. There are numerous breath
techniques and schools of thought, but the most
comprehensive one, from a physical and mental
standpoint, is called Transformational Breath.
Transformational Breath not only opens and corrects old
ineffective patterns of breathing but it builds the
individual’s conscious awareness of their use of the
breath to reduce stress, heighten self-awareness, heal
emotional traumas and connect with spirit.
There are three levels of Transformational Breath:
The first level opens and clears restricted breathing
patterns, learning how to breathe more effectively and
easily. Level two works on healing traumas and
negativity in the subconscious mind. Once the
subconscious begins to clear it creates an opening to
the Higher subconscious, which is the level of soul or
spiritual awareness. We then reach the third level which
is consciously connecting with our Higher aspects of
being on a conscious level.
This is a self-healing technique that is safe for anyone
to practice
